Foodies who also vacation or live on Kaua‘i have a new way to experience the Garden Isle’s bounty of local ingredients. The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas has partnered with the Waipā Foundation to launch a new twice-monthly dinner tour called He ‘Aina Ola. The dinner tour includes a walking tour of Waipā’s orchard and gardens, followed by a three course dinner prepared by the culinary team from the Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas at Laukupu Hale Imu.

He ‘Aina Ola is located just north of Hanalei Town, where visitors will learn about the history of the North Shore and the organization’s efforts to preserve knowledge and understanding of the ahupua‘a, a land administration structure practiced by Hawaiians during the pre-contact period. The 1600 acre ahupua‘a of Waipā, which is owned by Kamehameha Schools, is one of the few remaining intact ahupua‘a in the State of Hawai‘i. The dinner will feature locally sourced ingredients, including those grown on site at Waipā. Check out the full menu here.

The dinner and tour is held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month and is open to the public. The cost is $135 per person including farm tour, dinner with wine pairings, tax, and gratuity. Reservations are required and can be made by calling the hotel at 808-827-8808.
